After cinemas received a green signal in Maharashtra, several Bollywood films have announced new release dates.

Fourteen films have shared updated release dates after Maharashtra Prime Minister Uddhav Thackrey said cinemas could be reopened from October.

The flood gate was opened by Sooryavanshi. On Saturday evening, Rohit Shetty, Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar announced that Sooryavanshi will take over the Diwali weekend this year. The film will be followed by Bunty Aur Babli 2. Actor Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari, Yash Raj Films is expected to be released on November 19.

On Sunday, Aamir Khan confirmed that Laal Singh Chaddha is no longer following the 2021 Christmas release. Instead, the film will release Valetine Day in 2022.

Ranveer Singh will replace Christmas with his ‘83 sports game. December will be full of cricket fever as Shahid Kapoor confirms that his Jersey cricket film will be released on December 31, 2021. The first film of Suniel Shetty's son Ahan Shetty's Tadap is expected to be released on December 3.

The first quarter of 2022 includes a stellar line-up. Akshay Kumar's Prithviraj has closed the January 21 release date. So far, this is the only annual January release. In February there will be Laal Singh Chaddha and Jayeshbhai Jordaar of Ranveer's, scheduled for February 25.

Akshay will return in March with Bachchan Pandey. The movie is expected to be released on March 4. Ranbir Kapoor will return three years later with Shershaah in March. The film will hit theaters on March 18. Kartik Aaryan will once again take the reins of the Box Bhulaiyaa 2 box office before the end of the financial year. The film is expected to be released on March 25.

Summer has KGF 2, set for April 14; Ajay Devgn's Mayday April 29; and Tiger Shroff's Heropanti 2, released on May 6. Many budget films such as Gangubai Kathiawadi, Brahmastra, and Pathan are yet to reveal their release dates.
