During a promotional event in 2016, Salman made a joke about rape.Anushka had reacted by saying she didn’t know Salman well and had indirectly chastised him for being careless.She even described him as having an intimidating personality.

In an interview with Film Companion, Anushka Sharma had said, “Salman is intimidating and he is not someone who would go out of his way to make you feel comfortable.He’s going to be himself and he’ll just do his thing.And because I’m a pretty shy person, I’m unable to bridge that distance as well.We don’t have that kind of equation where we can have a discussion.”

She also made a veiled dig at Salman Khan’s statement, saying, “I feel like it was inappropriate and something that astonished me.”It made me consider how everyone of us bears responsibility for what we say in any setting.You must be conscious of this in whatever you say.I believe that we, as celebrities, ought to be more conscious of what we say.”

For the uninitiated, Salman Khan stated during one of the promotional events that he used to practise wrestling with experienced pros.While walking on set after all the wrestling practise and a day of getting hurt, he used to feel like a rape victim.
