‘Pay attention to your tongue’: Mumbai police denounce Kabir Singh's misconduct, Quangg quotes

On several occasions, the Indian film industry has been criticized for its sexuality and for promoting immorality, by regularly producing films that have the same meaning and portrayal of women. Produced by the masses, these movies often appeal to teenagers and tend to make headlines for some of the offensive content shown on screen. In an effort to counteract this, the Mumbai Police communications team has sent a series of interviews from popular Bollywood films urging people to 'use all words carefully'.

Along with the hashtags 'LetsNotNormaliseMisogyny', 'MindYourLanguage', 'WomenSafety', this article contains interviews from Salman Khan's film Filangg, Shahid Kapoor and Kiir Advani's Kabir Singh, Chashme Baddoor (2013) and Ujda Chaman. Each of these interviews shows the absence of women in different ways.

“Cinema is a reflection of our society - Nazi (just) a few (many) conversations of both our community and the cinema that they need to reflect on. Choose your words and actions carefully - unless you want the law to intervene! ”Read the captions of the post shared on the Instagram handle of Mumbai police.

Just an hour after the online distribution, the post has garnered more than 30,000 likes with publishers praising the Mumbai communications team for highlighting an important issue.
