De Villiers hits the centenary of breaking into the team's RCB internal game: WATCH

AB de Villiers and Mohammad Azharudden were looking for a great partnership for the second wicket as the first one reached his 50 in the seventh over.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is preparing for the second phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, which starts on September 19 in Dubai. The team is expected to face the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Monday and the players are leaving nothing to earn two more points to solidify their place in the points table.

While captain Kohli and players such as Mohammad Siraj and Dan Christian were confined to solitary confinement, other players took to the field to practice. They were divided into two groups - RCB A and RCB B, led by Harshal Patel and Devdutt Padikkal respectively.

Patel's RCB A, which was owned by AB de Villiers, won the toss and chose to strike. They started well but lost the wicket early. De Villiers and Mohammad Azharudden then tied the knot for the second wicket as the first one reached his 50 in the seventh over.

The powerful South African batsman continued with his explosions, scoring 104 goals and 46 assists. His knock is marked with 7 and 10 restrictions. Azharudden also fired 66 runs off 43 balls, including six sixs and 4 runs, as RCB A set a 213 running goal for RCB B to chase.

“When we got off the bus, I thought it was crazy that we were trying to play cricket during the day. Luckily a wind blew, and I told Azharudeen that it was much better now and the voice would be awesome. We had fun there, having fun with the runs on the board. It was a huge stretch for the first 20 balls out, ”said De Villiers after scoring a fantastic 100.

In response, captains Padikkal and KS Bharat gave RCB B a start off. The latter played a solid 95-run innings on 47 balls while the captain contributed with 21 balls. The competition turned out to be a happy ending as Padikkal's team ran in the last two games. However, they ended the race on the border and won the match by 7 wickets.
