Alyssa Healy from Australia wants to imitate Rohit Sharma

Alyssa Healy who opens a women's team in Australia said she wanted to emulate Rohit's style of beating to achieve success in her career.

Rohit Sharma’s reputation as an opening batsman is enormous. Whether it is white cricket or the longest format of the game, Mumbai cricket is one of the most reliable people in the business. While many budding cricketers around the world worship him, the opening of the Australian women's team Alyssa Healy also wants to emulate Rohit's style of beating in order to achieve success in her career.

The Australian women's team is preparing to face India in a series of home formats, including three ODIs, a one-off day-night Test and three T20Is. Before closing the horns with the visitors, Healy said he would try to repeat Rohit's approach to using things on the field.

“It's a hoax because I've only played four Tests so I can't say I'm too comfortable with the way I play or the way I do the Tests. In my opinion, I don’t think it will change much from my one-day beating. I think the ability to give yourself more time is such a blessing, "Healy said at the Fox Cricket launch event in the series, as reported by ESPNcricinfo.

“I look at the modern Test game and see how it has really changed. I watch a lot of men's cricket and I look at someone like Rohit Sharma who is one of the most hurt white white batsmen in the world and yet he is a really successful opener in Test cricket. So for me, I said look at someone like him and think about how he translates those skills into all formats, can I replicate them in some way, ”he added.

Speaking about the upcoming series against India, Healy said: "Sometimes a little bit of the unknown and mysterious of India makes them incredibly dangerous. They have taken a few new players that we have never seen on this trip."

"So, they always like to throw something new at us, even if it's Poonam Yadav, he always has something new to throw at us, so that he doesn't distract us again," he added.

Australia will play a fourth team match on Thursday and then, the series against India kicks off on September 21st.
